Why Lifters and Runners Can't Ignore Their Pelvic Floor
When it comes to building real strength, it’s not just about big lifts and fast times, it's about the muscles you can’t see that hold it all together.
At GND Strength Society, we’re hosting a Pelvic Floor Health Seminar called Beyond The Core: Pelvic Health Insights for Coaches and Athletes, led by Alex Adams, to tackle one of the most overlooked (but critical) parts of athletic performance.
If you're a lifter, runner, or active person, your pelvic floor is part of your core. It stabilizes your spine, controls pressure during lifting, helps you generate power, and keeps everything working how it should.
If your pelvic floor isn’t working properly, it can cause:
Urinary leakage (yep, even if you’re young and strong)
Low back pain
Decreased force output (meaning your lifts and sprints are slower and weaker than they should be)
Increased injury risk
Chronic hip tightness or "dead butt" feeling
Poor recovery and performance plateau
Most athletes don’t even realize their pelvic floor is an issue until symptoms show up, or until an injury sidelines them.
What You’ll Learn at Our Pelvic Floor Seminar
Our seminar is built for lifters, runners, and coaches who want to:
Improve core stability and breathing under load
Boost performance
Prevent injuries before they happen
Learn simple pelvic floor exercises you can add to your warm-up or training
Build a foundation for long-term strength, speed, and longevity
You’ll walk away knowing exactly how to integrate pelvic floor training into your program.
