Binge & Burn: How to Stay Active While Watching Love Island

Because movement doesn’t have to mean missing the drama.

Look, we get it. Love Island isn’t just a show — it’s a sport. Your heart rate spikes every time a new hottie walks in. You’re emotionally invested in couples you met three episodes ago. It’s a full-body experience… except for your actual body, which is now three episodes deep into becoming one with the couch.

Here’s the thing: you can absolutely stay active while staying obsessed. No need for a gym, a mat, or motivation. All you need is your TV, a little creativity, and maybe a glute bridge or two.

The Love Island Movement Bingo

When This Happens You Do This

Someone cries                                                                  - 10 air squats

A couple kisses                                                                 - 10 glute bridges

A new bombshell enters                                                - 30-second plank

Someone says “my type on paper”                              - 10 push-ups (from knees?

fine.)

A guy says “I’ve never felt like this before”                   - 20 jumping jacks

The girls gather on the terrace                                       - 10 lunges per leg

You’ll be sweating before Casa Amor even starts.

Couch-Core Circuit

For the "I’m comfy but trying" crowd.

When you don’t want to move too much, but also don’t want to completely shrivel up, hit this during ad breaks:

  • Couch dips – 3 sets of 10

  • Seated leg extensions – 3 sets of 20 (bonus if you hold the squeeze)

  • Reclined single-leg crunches – 2 sets of 15 per side

  • Couch hip thrusts – 3 sets of 12 (booty gains from the couch? Yes.)

Lying Down But Still Trying Moves

Perfect for when you're horizontal and that’s not changing.

  • Dead bugs

  • Supine leg lifts

  • Pelvic tilts

  • Arm pulses (trust — these burn)

Even five minutes of movement helps circulation, digestion, and makes you feel like you did something other than scream at your TV all night.

Real Talk

Movement doesn’t have to mean full-on workouts. It can be silly, simple, or straight-up lazy — as long as you move. You can binge reality TV and feel good in your body. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s just to not turn into a potato.

Now grab your water, get in some squats, and enjoy the chaos.
